Born: 1903, Dordrecht, Z.H., Holland.



Zoologist, educated at Leiden University; in 1928 teacher at a secondary school at Tiel, Holland; in 1929 appointed Advising Fishery Expert for Freshwater Fishery in West Java (Buitenzorg), since 1940 Leader of the Freshwater Fishery subdivision of the Department of Agriculture; in 1948 appointed on the staff of the State Institute for purification of sewage, The Hague.


Collecting localities:

W. Java: Bantam (Sept. 1932); Lake Leles (Oct. 1932); Tjiandjoer (Nov. and Dec. 1934).-E. Borneo (Oct. 1938): W. Koetai (= Mahakam), Lake Djempang, Lake Batoeboemboen and between kp. Moearamoentai and kp. Djantoer.
