career:

Brother of the well-known Dutch agrostologist Dr P. Jansen; from 1911-14 stationed in Boeroe as a missionary. He returned to Holland on account of illness, and was subsequently in the employ of the ‘Handelmaatschappij’, at Amsterdam.
