A friend of the orchid grower W. Schmidt at Dresden, Germany, collected Aerides jarckianum Schltr. in the Laguna near Manila (Luzon, P.I.). At the time Jarck was evidently a resident of Manila (cf. Orchis 9, 1915, p. 53).
