Professional orchid collector.

 

Collecting localities:

N. Central Sumatra: principally at Brastagi (1928).-S. Sumatra: Palembang, Lahat and Pageralam.1-In 1929 short collecting trip through Java to the Lesser Sunda Islands: Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa, Flores, Timor and the islands in those regions.2-SW. Celebes: vicinity of Macassar: N. Celebes: Manado, Kwandang; Centr. Celebes: Donggala; Moluccas: Ambon, Buru and N. Halmahera.3-He made a trip by boat to N. New Guinea,4 touching at Sorong, Manokwari, Wasior, P. Japen (Seroei), Hollandia, and Bosnik (Schouten Islands).
