A native collector employed by Griffith (see there) after his return in 1845 in the short month left to him (cf. Burkill in Gard. Bull. Str. Settlem. 4, 1927, nos 4-5).

 

Collecting localities:

Malay Peninsula. Early in 1845 in Malacca, about Alor Gajah and forwards to Tebong.

Likely with Griffith’s herbarium at Kew [K]; for duplicates see sub Griffith. The editor of Griffith’s ‘Posthumous Papers’ spelled the name in various ways and took it to he a place name.
