career:

Spaniard, friend and associate of Vidal, early in the twentieth century forester in the Philippine Islands; he made an extensive collection of molluscs.

Selaginella quadrasii Hier. was named after him and the genus Quadrasia Elmer.

Collecting localities:

Philippines: Luzon (Manila), in Mindanao (Zamboanga) (March-June 1901), and in Dinagat Island.
