Born: 1885.

 

career:

Professor of Botany, University of Krakau, was staying in the Treub Laboratory at Buitenzorg, from April till October 1926, with the support of the International Educational Board of Rockefeller Jr, studying many biological problems.1

At the outbreak of war, in September 1939, he left Krakau for Budapest, working in the Plant Physiological Laboratory of the University there. A letter which was sent to him in 1947, was returned with the remark ‘inconnu’ (unknown).

 

Collecting localities:

1926. W. Java: G. Salak (Aug.); E. Java: G. Tengger, between Ranoe Koembolo and the foot of the summit of G. Smeroe (Oct. 8).

 

collections:

He is cited by Danser2 as the collector of a Nepenthes from G. Salak and a Polygonum from G. Tengger-Smeroe. Possibly these plants were especially collected on behalf of Danser, who at that time was preparing monographs of the families of plants in question.
