Born: 1861, Kempshott Park, Basingstoke, England. Died: 1925, Perth, Scotland.

career:

Educated at Eton and Sandhurst, with a military career mainly in Africa; on retired pay in 1921. Major-General, Governor of British North Borneo from 1922-25.

Collecting localities:

Made collections of plants at Sandakan, Br. N. Borneo, on B(a)lambangan Isl.,¹ etc., about 1923.
