Born: 1897, The Hague, Holland.

career:

Schoolmaster in Holland from 1917-23; from 1924-25 in the same function in Dutch East Indian Government service, and subsequently attached to private schools. At present living at Batavia.

He is an amateur entomologist; with F. Dupont he wrote a book on the life-history of Javan butterflies.¹
