A Forest Officer who collected mosses, especially on Dieng Plateau in Centr. Java. He is probably identical with the later Inspector of Forests of that name.1

The mosses Entodon seubertianus Fleisch. and Ectropothecium seuberti Fleisch. were named after him; the latter species was collected near Wonosobo (= Diëng Plateau), probably the former too.2

Herb. Berl. [B]: Java mosses (coll. in 1879). Up till the present we have no data that he collected also phanerogams.
