career:

Captain Lieutenant of the Dutch Navy, accompanied the voyage of the ‘Soerabaja’ to New Guinea (1875-76).1 For itinerary and complete literature see sub O. Beccari.

Author of a hydrographical description of the coasts of New Guinea.2

 

collections:

Mus. Kol. (= Ind.) Inst. Amsterdam (formerly Haarlem): wild nutmegs (pres. 1876). They were probably collected in the vicinity of Wairoor (facing the island of Mios Waar), Geelvink Bay, NW. New Guinea, on Dec. 4, 1875.3
