Born: 1910, Groningen, Holland.



Botanist, educated and taking his Ph.Drís degree (1936) at the University of Groningen. Since 1937 on the staff of the Botanical Laboratory of the General Experiment Station for Agriculture at Buitenzorg. After evacuation to Holland, following World War II, he was appointed Agriculturist at the State Institute for race investigation of crop plants, Wageningen.



Herb. Bog. [BO]: 6 nos of plants from E of Pare-Pare (SW. Celebes, coll. March 8, 1941), and material of wild relations of the clove tree in Ambon and W. Ceram (coll. Jan.-Febr.1941).
