Born: 1892, Utrecht, Holland. Died: 1958, Amsterdam, Holland.

 

career:

Since Nov. 1920 till World War II, Curator of the Botanic Gardens at Buitenzorg. At the end of 1920 he accompanied Docters van Leeuwen to Fort de Kock, Sumatra West Coast,1 in 1924/25 the expedition of Hans Winkler to Central Borneo, attended by the native plant collector Rachmat (see there).

Author of a book on orchids.
