career:

A plant collector employed in the Botanic Gardens, Singapore.1 At the end of 1957 he retirec after 37½ years of service.

Eugenia kiahii Henderson is named after him.

MalayPeninsula: Singapore Isl.; with Nur on G. Pulai and environs, in Johore (1922); with Strugnell (see there) in Pahang ( ? Aug. 1930); Br. N. Borneo: with Furtado on his Kinabalu trip (March-Apr. 1932), joining the Clemens expedition; Malay Peninsula: with C.F. Symington (see there) on a trip to G. Tapis, near Kuantan, Pahang (June 1934); near the new Mersing Road, Johore (Oct. 1936); with L. Moysey on G. Padang (Trengganu, May 22-July 15, 1937); Kedah and Perlis, at Kaki Bukit etc. (Apr.-May 1938); Kedah, near Sungei Patani (Oct. 1938). In 1949-55 he accompanied J. Sinclair (see there) on some trips in Malaya. In 1957 with Chew Wee Lek
