Born: 1892, Rotterdam, Holland.

 

career:

Since 1915 Forest Officer in the D.E. Indian Forest Service, for several years on the staff of the Forest Research Institute at Buitenzorg; in 1925 put in charge of the division ‘Wildhoutproductiebedrijf’ at Buitenzorg and towards the end of the year transferred to the teak districts of Java; since 1931 attached to the Teak Forest Administration, in 1935 stationed in the Head Office, in 1936 appointed Inspector; retired in 1937.

 

Collecting localities:

Java: teak forests (1918); Centr. Java: Tegal, Margasari and Ngarengan forestries (Oct. 1919); forest-section of Manggar; forest-section of Tempoeran (S. Semarang); teak forest, Djombang (1928).
